Unique Polymer Systems (UPS) has developed a range of Thermic Coatings which are based on a combination of innovative fillers bound in a 100% solids epoxy resin. The coatings are designed to reduce heat transfer from underlying metallic surfaces operating at elevated temperatures and thereby reduce heat loss and risk of burns through personal contact.
The coatings also provide long term corrosion protection for metallic surfaces and reduce the potential for condensation on cold pipework.
Once cured the material can reduce surface temperatures by 60% and heat loss by 40%.
