Surface Preparation:
- The top layer of degraded concrete was removed through blasting and grinding, ensuring a clean and stable surface for the repair materials.
Concrete Repair with UPS 821 FFP FASTFILL PLUG
- The damaged sections of the concrete were repaired using UPS 821 FFP, which provided a quick-setting and durable repair to restore the integrity of the tank.
Priming with UPS 909 PP POROUS PRIMER
- The entire surface was primed with UPS 909 PP to ensure proper adhesion of the subsequent protective coating.
Application of UPS 505 WAU WRAS APPROVED URETHANE
- Two coats of UPS 505 WAU were applied using brush and roller techniques, with each coat applied at a thickness of 350 microns. This final coating provided robust protection against water leakage and ensured the long-term durability of the overflow tank.
