Surface Preparation
- The external surface of the pipeline was hydro-blasted using entrained garnet to remove contaminants and create a rough profile. This step was essential to ensure that the coating would bond effectively to the substrate.
Application of UPS 250 UWC UNDERWATER CERAMIC
- UPS 250 UWC was pumped down to trained applicators using a Graco 45:1 Ratio Airless pump. The material was fed through a specially manufactured applicator brush with a central material feed tube.
- The coating was applied in a single coat at a nominal thickness of 1mm wet film. This method ensured an even and robust protective layer, providing the pipeline with long-lasting resistance to corrosion and erosion.
