IPN INSTARUBBER

Description

Two-component, 100% solids, jet black (other colours available) room temperature vulcanizing, elastomer, formulated as an extremely versatile industrial rubber repair material. It is a brushable liquid in the first five minutes of mixing, a gradually thickening paste in the next twenty minutes, with adjustable rate of cure.

 
Designed for:

Repairing damaged elastomeric parts and components in place. Producing custom or replacement rubber parts in-shop, in-plant, or in-field. Lining for protection of pneumatic conveying equipment on-site.
No need for hot vulcanizing equipment or any elaborate heat/pressure devices, or totally disassembling the repaired equipment.

Flexibility, toughness, and resilience is required.
Where super adhesion to existing substrates is required.
Where excellent impact, abrasion, and tear resistance is required with minimum tools needed and reduced downtime is achieved.

 
Physical data

"COLD-VULCANIZING"
Does not require elaborate heat and pressure devices or "Hot-Vulcanizing" process equipment. IPN INSTARUBBER vulcanizes to a highly cross-linked rubber in a few hours at room temperature. Saves money and downtime.

EXCELLENT ADHESION
Not only to natural rubber and industrial synthetic rubbers - like PVC, Polyurethane, styrene-butadiene etc. - but also to other substrates like metals, concrete, fiberglass, ceramic, wood, brick, and fabric. This means long term, cost saving solutions to challenging repair problems.

OUTSTANDING ABRASION AND IMPACT RESISTANCE
Will save time, money, and energy by increasing efficiency and by decreasing downtime or interruptions.

SUPERIOR TEAR RESISTANCE
Due to highly cross-linked nature of its polymeric network, IPN INSTARUBBER has tremendous internal strength that resist being torn. Use of Advanced Polymer REINFORCE AID improves this feature even further.

CHEMICAL AND CORROSION RESISTANT
Cost effective protection is now within the reach of maintenance engineers. Casings, hoses, bellows, slurry pumps can be easily coated and gaskets can easily be cast-in-place. Protects against attacks of air-born industrial chemicals. Minimizes FREEZE/THAW scalling and spalling.

100% SOLIDS
No solvent-entrapment since it is "Solventless" to begin with. That means no blisters, bubbles, holidays or pinholes. One coat application will deposit anywhere from 0.4mm to 0.8mm of "Dried-Thickness". This thickness is only achieved by 4-6 coats of solvent based coatings with long hours of wait between each two consecutive coatings to allow the solvent to escape into the atmosphere. This may not only create health, safety and fire hazards, but also makes the whole proposition extremely expensive by extending the downtime into several days.

NON-RUSTING
IPN INSTARUBBER's non-ferrous composition is the key to its non-rusting / non-corroding nature. The net result is a long, rust free service life.

FACTORY-PROPORTIONED PACKAGING.
Easy to mix and apply because mix ratios are kept during packaging of components so that you don't have to weigh or measure anything during repair. Just mix all contents.

EASY TO USE:
No need for outside contracting. In-House personnel can easily be trained to use with minimum tools.
