Description

An Advanced Polymer coating for protecting concrete and metal against severe chemical attack even by concentrated sulfuric acid.
For improving the efficiency of fluid handling systems while combating the effects of cavitations and corrosion. Two-component, solvent-free, low viscosity, low odor, burgundy colour (other colours available) liquid, formulated as a room temperature cure sprayable or brushable system, yielding a high performance, extreme durable coating.

INCREASED FLOW
When applied to the interiors of pumps, it improves the hydrodynamic performance and increases the output by up to 20%. Thanks to its low surface tension coupled with its incredible smoothness, working together to reduce friction during flow dramatically.

REDUCED POWER CONSUMPTION
As efficiency of pumps increases, more fluid output per minute is achieved at less energy input. More fluid is pumped at less cost. This equals REDUCED power bills.

REDUCED MAINTENANCE COSTS
Since corrosion damage and erosion wear are bought under control, there will be less need for shutdowns to replace parts or repair them. This means more production at less maintenance costs.

ADVANCED NON-RUSTING FORMULA
Does not contribute to the inevitable rusting process which is already punishing and damaging enough to machinery and equipment. Does not itself become part of the problem. Always stays part of the solution.

100% SOLIDS - NO SOLVENTS
No solvent-entrapment since it is solvent free to begin with. That means no blisters, bubbles, holidays or pinholes. One coat application will deposit anywhere from 0.4mm / 0.8mm of "Dried-Thickness". This thickness is only achieved by 4-6 coats of solvent-based coatings with long hours of wait between each two consecutive coatings to allow the solvent to escape into the atmosphere. This may not only create health, safety and fire hazards, but also makes the whole proposition extremely expensive by extending downtime into several days.

SAME DAY APPLICATION
Normal application is of 2 coats: 0.2mm / 0.4mm each: back to back: 3 hours apart. Same day application will suffice in most cases. When cure schedules "B" or "C" (see engineering data bulletins from your distributor) - are used, weekend applications are possible thus requiring no shutdowns.

COMPLIES WITH LOW VOC REGULATIONS.
Extremely stringent new "Volatile Organic Compounds" regulations have already made many coatings "Obsolete". Since IPN SUPERBARRIER contains no solvents, you can safety specify and use it in any industrial environment, indoors or outdoors.

COMPLIES WITH "CLEAN WATER" REGULATIONS
Since there are no components that leave the product at any stage of storage, application, cure or in-service, you can safely specify and use this product in any industrial application.

LOW ODOR
Applicators or employees will not be subjected to obnoxious fumes.

SPRAYABLE
Multi component or even airless spray units will give great results. A system similar to 45:1 Bulldog with 1/2" id hose fitted with mastic guns and #25-#30 tips. Larger ratios and smaller tips may be used and heating element is recommended (40-50^oC). Input pressure of 75-90psi and spray pressure of 4,000 - 5,000psi would be typical. You can also use a brush, roller, applicator or squeegee.

To suit many needs and pressing downtime restrictions: Choose from 10 - 7 - 4 or 1 day cures.

EXCELLENT RETENTION OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES Up to 204^oC in DRY operating conditions. Up to 93^oC in WET operating conditions. IPN SUPERBARRIER will give you continuous operation.

SPLITTABLE UNITS
You can mix full or partial units, so you do not waste any material by mixing more than the repair requires.

FACTORY-PROPORTIONED PACKAGING.
Easy to mix and apply because BASE:SOLDIFIER ratio of 1.8:1 by volume is kept during packaging of components so that you don't have to weigh or measure anything before use. Just mix all contents.

INJECTABLE.
IPN SUPERBARRIER can be injected into metal cavities, voids, molds, cracks, and similar discontinuities, via an Advanced Polymer CRACK INJECTION SYSTEM, using bottom-fill cartridges to produce "Bubble Free" build up of thick sections in a void free manner.
