Damaged Blending and Contouring Vessel within an Aluminium forming plant.

This industrial plant had suffered a bad FIRE, where extreme heat caused the lips of a blending and contouring vessel to WARP very badly. The only alternative to Advanced Polymer repair was complete replacement of this equipment at around £15,000 per UNIT.

 

Solution

 

After proper surface preparation - using hand tools and roughening the surface. Advanced Polymer ULTRAMETAL was applied to the bottom plate and Advanced Polymer RELEASE AID was applied to the top plate.
When the two sides were bought together, Advanced Polymer ULTRA METAL formed a perfect fingerprint to allow for a complete seal to be effected again.
